Telekinesis. With it, she can hover a few centimetres off the ground if she wishes, but it doesn't often come in handy. Able to float or move small to medium objects with ease but larger ones take a lot more energy. Concentration is hardly an issue for her.

h i s t o r y

Nobody had ever suspected that Johannes de Carvalho-Heineken had hormones, let alone that he was capable of spawning. So when Theresia Heineken was born on the 23rd of September, 1984, it seemed like more than a bit of a miracle. The fact that she would, after a few years, prove to be something of a genius, was even more of one.

By the time she was seven she had far surpassed her father in intelligence (admittedly not much of a feat) and by the age of eleven, it seemed that anything she tried, she mastered. Nothing was too difficult for her and nothing was too complicated. She had a golden touch, they said. Her father more or less let her do whatever she liked as long as it pleased her and it made her happy. Provided that it wasn't illegal. Not that she would be stupid enough to get caught.

Theresia liked the piano, so she played. She liked books, so she read. She disliked change so she refused to travel, disliked people so she tried to push them away. Her father sought to fix that by dragging her around the continent (it would be fun, he said) with her mother in tow. A chance for her to see new places and meet new people. Maybe even learn something. She never did.

Her powers manifested at thirteen. She ignored it at first, then tried to make sense of it, gave up altogether and worked on controlling it. After all, if nothing was too hard for Theresia Heineken, then surely she could master this telekinesis, unusual as it was.

And as of the beginning of the year 1999, Theresia is fourteen and thanks to her father, stuck in Berlin when she'd much rather be home.

p e r s o n a l i t y

Theresia is not a people person, viewing her peers as completely inferior and her elders as undeserving of authority. Those who she supposes she'd be likely to get along with are long deceased, and so she has the social skills of a wet sock. It doesn't matter, though. She's decided that rich and intelligent people are expected to be cynical and why should she care if nobody really likes her? Does it matter to her who she offends? Should it? She thinks not. But she's not entirely tactless-- that would be stupid, and genii are not.

a p p e a r a n c e

Theresia is short and lithe, often described as petite and looks as if the slightest breeze could snap her in two. She's been mistaken for younger than she is-- due to her still being flat as a board though she's almost fifteen -- but it doesn't bother her. She has long brown hair, which is kept excruciatingly neat. Having even a strand out of place is almost completely unheard of. Naturally, her Johannes finds her hair colour extremely boring, but she absolutely refuses to dye it purple as he keeps suggesting. She has his yellow eyes, but is otherwise a spitting image of her mother.
